Shear$marter

Shear$marter was held at the Rural Skills Centre TAFE in Dubbo on 13 June and was attended by over 120 woolgrowers, shearers, handlers and classers. The crowd heard from a program of shearing and wool handling experts about how to prepare a clip for maximum profit as well as seeing a top Australian team perform a two hour run.

Shear$marter: prepare your clip for more profit

Launching AWI's new shearer and wool handler training program, Shear$marter gave growers a new insight on wool handling best practice and offered a great opportunity to meet and network with local shearing contractors.

AWI would like to thank its partners in this event, the Shearing Contractors Association of Australia, The Western Institute of TAFE and the Australian Wool Exchange. Without them this event would not have been possible.
